We came to the dealership because I have a new 2012 beetle preordered and Barry managed to talk my husband into a 2011 jetta. A.J was a great dealer, he provided me with everything I needed to know and I won't hesitate to buy a car from him again! This was my THIRD VW dealership and I will NEVER go anywhere else! I went to Vision VW about a year ago (when new style and priced Jetta came out). I test drove and fell in love. I said I wanted it in coffee, stick, sunroof and heated seats. All they had that day was blue. I said well, do you want to see what my car is worth? They said to come back later. They took my number but only called several WEEKS later only to tell me that they still didn't have a coffee one. Can't I order one? They never called again.
At York VW they were super nice. They also didn't have what I wanted, but were more than happy to get it for me. They priced my trade car, but they played the money games. "Let me check with my manager" Hate that, I just felt like I was being taken advantage of. Also, the bottom line just wasn't low enough.
Finally, went to H.A. Boyd and told them exaclty what I wanted. They said they could get it and from where (ironically from Vision - interesting that they didn't keep my info and call me - they could have sold it to me 6 months ago). They gave me a good deal on my trade - I know because Barry took the calls in my presence. Then he gave me the best price right off the bat - no back and forth or games. It was within the range I was willing to pay and I didn't FEEL like I was being ripped off! This IS the way to do business - thank you! LOVE my JETTA!! While I realize that's really not practical, other VW dealers (to say nothing of other brand dealerships) could learn volumes from H.A. Is there anyway to increase awareness regarding volkswagon TDI vehicles? I feel this is the way to go. I recently read that volkswagon TDI purchases are up 124% same time last year. Barry explained the process used by H A Boyd's $200 over invoice. He did a nice job of getting us the most for our trade-in. Scott was great. I felt safe buying a car at this dealership because of the other rep at HA Boyd. Over twenty years ago I purchased a new car from adealership where Barry Kreider worked and had a terrible experience with the vehicle and the finance company. Barry was phenomenal, he took care of everything, so even though my husband took me to Scott who was a wonderful guy and made me feel comfortable, when I saw Barry I knew I was safe. My last new car purchase three years ago of a pontiac was horrible, and I know Barry and Scott are far more trustworthy than the Pontiac dealership was. I sighed a sigh of relief when I saw Barry. AND a woman I work with owns a VW and said HA BOYD is a great dealership, so THAT makes me happy. Scott was very nice, and I LOVE my first VW very much!!! It was our first time buying a Volkswagen and Barry was a pleasure to work with. I will definitely recommend my family and friends to him! This is the second vehicle I have bought from H.A. Boyd VW. Our Sales person, A.J. Wintersohl did a terrific job. Scott was great to work with. He let me take a long enough test drive and I knew exactly what I was getting before I made the purchase. I'm glad too because the lower gas mileage would have disappointed me. By taking the long test drive I went into the purchase knowing what I was getting.
We looked at a number of places before stopping at H.A. Boyd. My daughter and I stopped into H.A. Boyd without really planning to look at a VW. Scott sold the benefits of owning a VW and then showed me all the options including the low mileage pre-loved car I now own. Best car buying experience that I have ever had. I am 56 years old and probably purchased at least 15 cars. Tell them to keep up the good work. This is my fourth brand new car purchase; and I have never experienced such a friendly,smooth and efficient transaction as I had at H.A.Boyd. (Excellent team work! ) My last experience was with Auto Haus Lancaster who I would not recommend to anyone. Nobody better to buy a VW from! On arrival at the lot, no one 'bothered' me for a comfortable amount of time and then Scott was prepared to show the model I'd been looking at. I had a loaner for a couple days which made the process easier as I 'learned' about the Passat. On delivery, Scott took the time to show all the features, let me ask questions, etc. Overall, he made the entire process an enjoyable one - which is not typical in the automotive world. I wouldn't go anywhere else to purchase a vehicle. Our experiences over many years with HA Boyd, both sales and service, have been outstanding. We don't even consider other dealerships since no other dealer can hold a candle to HA Boyd and Scott Ortenzio. The only reason we went to other dealers during our recent buying cycle was to look at colors, and we did that on a Sunday so that we had no chance of being approached by other dealers' sales folks. I live in Lancaster and I'm closer to another Volkswagen dealership, but I prefer to drive the 40 minutes to HA Boyd because no one can beat their INTEGRITY, service, skill and excellent staff! I always feel like a valued customer at HA Boyd. When I go just for service my initial salesman from 1 1/2 years ago, Scott, remembers me by name. When I'm ready to trade in my 2008 Jetta and get a new car I know I'll be going back to HA Boyd. Keep up the great work HA Boyd! H.A. Boyd does everything well from the sale through all service appointments. My car is always delivered on time and clean after service appointments, as well the loaner is always clean and ready for use when I arrive. If anyone I know is interested in purchasing or servicing a Volkswagen I would tell them the only place to go is Boyd's in Lebanon.. Wed evening, Dec 23 the left front low-beam headlight burned out.
I phoned Amanda at 7:35AM Thurs (Dec 24) and asked if someone would have time to install a new bulb for me that morning. She said yes and asked that I bring my car in ASAP explaining they were closing at 12 Noon that day. I had my car there by 9:15AM and was out by/before 10:30AM --and-- my car was washed, too! SUPER! Thanks for being so friendly and helpful! You folks are awesome! I bought a 2000 golf VW ten years ago and loved the vehicle.I sold it and was sorry that I did.Now ten years later I bought a 2008 Rabbit from Boyd,and I was treated very good.I love my Rabbit and will tell friends if they want a VW,go to Boyd VW to purchase it. Your service and sales people are outstanding. I will buy my next new car from HA Boyd, you are the best in central PA because you take great care of costumers. Scott O. made ever effort possible to fix my car and take care of costumer service as a priority, he brings excellence to his job. Thanks HA Boyd Once again your service was outstanding. Ryan went the extra mile . It was hard to find the leak in my vehicle but Ryan stuck with it and pulled all his resources to find the problem. After a length of time most people would have said enough close it up and hope the customer does not find the problem again. But not Ryan he stayed with it and finally found the leak and fixed it and returned my vehicle in great condition.. I can only speak of good things and experiences with your service dept. I can't believe there is a better service dept than H.A. Boyds. I live in Lancaster and could easily take my car to some place around here to be serviced. I choose to come there because you have always provided great service to me and my car. I am a VW geek and enjoy my car very much. So to have it serviced well means a lot. Thanks you guys! You do a great job!

Truly exceptional facility! 10 isn't a high enough rating for Scott Ortenzio and H.A. Boyd. Service on all ends was second to none. A dealership that takes the time to truly educate a customer on the features of their vehicle is rare these days. The gentlemen that presented my car talked as if they had driven one just like it for years.
